Our Business

Originally Pirate Studios was created early 2008 as a private studio, for the enjoyment of one Dave Sparks.  After many approaches from local musicians to use the studio, we dropped the V and swapped the I and R, and Pirate Studios was born.  The first recordings were done early 2008 for Matt Sothern.  The Months following in 2008 saw 10 albums finished and released as well as other works.  2009, 14 albums from local artists, and other bands / musicians from up and down the East Coast.

Our Goal is to make your dream become a reality, whether it is recording your album / demos or getting that initial spark of an idea finished and recorded.

After spending 100's of hours in other studios we understand the entire process has to be relaxed and enjoyable or why else  do it?.   At Pirate Studios you remain in control of your own creative process.  You play we Listen.

         Who We Are

Pirate Studios is Headed up by David Sparks who has been actively involved in the Australian Music industry for 30 Years.  David has worked with many fine artists including the Lime Spiders, Gyan, Robyne Dunn, The Saints, Temper Temper, Wayne Gillespie, Dave Dobbyn. 

An accomplished Guitar player with an ear for sound and a talent for musical arrangement.

David is still an active musician working with a number of local and National acts.

David has worked with some of the worlds greatest record producers, full CV available on request.
